CITIZEN TWAIN, Starring Val Kilmer, Announces Tourby BWW News Desk - Mar 15, 2013Val Kilmer, famous for his portrayals of iconic characters such as Jim Morrison (The Doors), Doc Holliday (Tombstone) and Batman (Batman Forever), inhabits the spirit of yet another legendary figure: Mark Twain. Kevin Bacon Joins 'X-Men: First Class' Flickby BWW News Desk - Jul 15, 2010Kevin Bacon will appear in the film 'X-Men: First Class,' Entertainment Weekly's Hollywood Insider reports. Bacon will play a villain who fights Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender). The film, which is a prequel to the previous 'X-Men' films, will begin filming in London this fall, the Hollywood Insider reports. It is set when characters Professor Charles Xavier and Erik Lenshaar/Magneto are in their late teens and early twenties. Alive Eve co-stars in addition to Nicholas Hoult, who reportedly plays the role of Beast orginally offered to BLOODY, BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON's Benjamin Walker. BroadwayWorld announced today that Walker will instead lead the cast of JACKSON to the Bernard Jacobs Theatre on Broadway beginning September 29, 2010. (more...)

The award will be presented to Penn at the 22nd Annual Producers Guild Awards ceremony on Saturday, January 22nd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The Stanley Kramer Award was established in 2002 to honor a motion picture, producer or other individual, whose achievement or contribution illuminates provocative social issues in an accessible and elevating fashion.
