Feinstein's at the Nikko Opens in San Francisco; Sutton Foster is First Performer, Now thru 5/12

Hotel Nikko San Francisco and multi-platinum entertainer Michael Feinstein have announced the opening of Feinstein's at the Nikko. Located within Hotel Nikko (222 Mason Street, San Francisco), Feinstein's at the Nikko will present a wide range of local, regional and national entertainers in an intimate 140-seat cabaret setting. Two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes, The Drowsy Chaperone) will take the stage tonight, May 8 - 12, 2013 for the inaugural performances. (more...)

5th Avenue Theatre Celebrates Tony Nominations for SCANDALOUS and A CHRISTMAS STORY

The announcement of Tony Award nominations raised a round of cheers this morning in the Emerald City as The 5th Avenue Theatre's Broadway hit A Christmas Story, The Musical received three nods from the American Theatre Wing, including Best Musical. Additionally, Carolee Carmello received a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance in Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson, which premiered at The 5th in 2011 as Saving Aimee. Original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner will star as Elder Cunningham in the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, launching in Denver from August 14-September 2 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
