The Hollywood Museum Extends Marilyn Monroe Exhibition Through 9/22

"Marilyn Monroe: The Exhibit" An Intimate Look At The Legend, the nation's largest exhibit of authentic memorabilia celebrating the fabled actress' life, is now extended through September 22, at The Hollywood Museum due to popular demand. WRITERS IN PERFORMANCE Workshop Showcase Plays Tribeca PAC, 12/7 & 8

Writers in Performance is a 12-week poetry, writing and performance workshop culminating in public presentations. Throughout the course of the workshop, ten talented actors, playwrights, poets and storytellers have explored writing exercises, theater games, improvisation, movement techniques, and ensemble work in a safe, creative environment on the topic of "Anticipation." Writers in Performance participants are diverse by design; not only in ethnicity, but by age, and experience as well, mixing professionals with students. (more...)

Tony Yazbeck Replaces Sean Palmer in Drury Lane Theatre's SINGIN' IN THE RAIN

Kyle DeSantis, Executive Producer of Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, announced today that Broadway actor Tony Yazbeck will take over the role of "Don Lockwood" in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, replacing Sean Palmer who suffered an injury. The production, which is currently in previews, will now have its press opening on Friday, Nov. 30 at 8:30pm. Yazbeck will go into the production on Wednesday, November 21. (more...)

This one-of-a-kind, dark comedy musical incorporates non-traditional instruments, toys and (ironically) modern sound technology, combined with performance art and projection.
