Shelter dogs throughout New York City make their Broadway debuts on the way to adoption thanks to SANDY'S RESCUE PALS, a new dog adoption partnership between the current Broadway production of Annie, the Tony Award-winning musical; Pedigree Brand; and Bobbi and the Strays. Today at intermission, ANNIE celebrated the official launch of Sandy's Rescue Pals at the Palace Theatre, with Bill Berloni (Tony Award-winning animal trainer) and cast members Jaidyn Young, Sadie Sink, and Brooklyn Shuck, with a rescue dog from Bobbi and the Strays' Shelter. Leigh Fitzjames' LOVE AND LIGHT to Play Touch Art & Craft Gallery, 6/1-2

The Shelter - a ensemble of theatrical artists - will conclude their fourth season with the world-premiere of LILY & KOSMO LIVE, a new play the blends the exciting adventure of "Buck Rogers" and 1950s radio space operas with the youthful mischief of "Our Gang" and The Little Rascals talkies, written and directed by Jonathan Ashley with preview performances beginning June 20th, 2013 prior to an official press opening of June 23rd at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street) in Manhattan. The contestants for the seventh annual Broadway Beauty Pageant have been announced. Participants include Callan Bergmann (Silence! The Musical), Julius C. Carter (SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark), Yurel Echezarreta (Matilda), Matthew Goodrich (The Nance), Orion Griffiths (Pippin), and Paul HeeSang Miller (Mamma Mia!). As previously announced, four-time Tony nominated and Drama Desk Award-winning actress Tovah Feldshuh will host the event which will take place on Monday evening, May 20th, at 8:00p.m., at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place).
