Lincoln Center Names Next President: Jed Bernstein Steps in Beginning January 2014

GIST Publishing announces the release of Mind Code: How Language Influences the Way We Think by Dr. Charles E. Bailey. Dr. Bailey received his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston and completed psychiatric residency training at the University of Florida. He practiced as a General Psychiatrist in the Orlando, Florida area for over twenty years. For the past ten years, he has conducted clinical research in psycho-pharmacology, participating in over one hundred and fifty clinical trials in most diagnostic categories, with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. He has spent much time studying human cognitive neuroscience, brain, emotion, and behavior as well as language, semantics, grammar, culture, and social cognitive neuroscience. He is currently studying cognition applied to artificial neural networks as a method for better understanding human reasoning. (more...)

National Museum of Wildlife Art Honors Book Illustrator Eric Rohmann

Children's book illustrator Eric Rohmann is the recipient of the 2013 Bull-Bransom Award, announced the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Rohmann was selected for the award, given annually for excellence in children's book illustration with a wildlife and nature focus, for the 2012 picture book 'Oh, No!' (Schwartz & Wade Books), written by Candace Fleming. The artist traveled to Jackson Hole to accept the award at a ceremony presented as part of the National Museum of Wildlife Art's Celebration of Young Artists event on May 2. (more...)
