Epic Theatre Ensemble to Stage RICHARD III: BORN WITH TEETH Off-Broadway, 4/16-5/4

The Award-Winning Epic Theatre Ensemble, now in their 12th year presents William Shakespeare's RICHARD III: Born With Teeth, part of Shakespeare for a New Generation, a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in cooperation with Arts Midwest. The production, directed by Ron Russell, begins previews Off-Broadway on Tuesday, April 16th and opens Today, April 20th at 8:00 PM at the Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). Westport Country Playhouse's THE SHOW OFF Begins 6/11

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the classic comedy, "The Show-Off," described as a funny, surprising, and moving story of a family in upheaval when their youngest daughter becomes engaged to a brash loudmouth, playing from June 11 through June 29. Cast in principal roles are 2013 Drama Desk Award winner Jayne Houdyshell as the imperious Mrs. Fisher, and Drama Desk nominee Will Rogers as Aubrey Piper, the show-off of the title. (more...)

Tarragon Theatre presents A Double Bill celebrating the work of acclaimed playwright-in-residence Hannah Moscovitch, with premieres of her plays Little One and Other People's Children. CHAPTER TWO to Open 3/8 at Little Fish Theatre

Little Fish Theatre today announced the opening of the second show of its 2013 season, Neil Simon's, CHAPTER TWO. A semi-autobiographical story about Simon's romance with actress Marsha Mason, this charming story about love 'the second time around' is considered one of Simon's most poignant and endearing comedies. Kate Burton, Tony Estrella, Joseph A. Chazan and Martha Douglas-Osmundson to Receive 2013 Pell Awards Honors

Trinity Repertory Company announced today that three local Rhode Island residents will be receiving Pell Awards this year in addition to Kate Burton, who had previously been announced as the recipient of the 2013 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. The 17th annual Pell Awards will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Trinity Rep with a reception to follow next door at the Providence Public Library. (more...)

Lisa Dillon to Star in HAPPY NEW at Trafalgar Studio 2, Beginning June 4

According to the Daily Mail, Lisa Dillon (BBC1's Cranford) will star in Brendan Cowell's play Happy New at Trafalgar Studio 2, beginning June 4. The play is set in Australia, and Dillon must learn to speak with an accent for the production. (more...)
