Producers Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B. McGrath, Beth Williams), Rich Entertainment Group (Bob and Mindy Rich), Barbara Whitman, Latitude Link, Dede Harris, Sharon Karmazin, and Howard and Janet Kagan just announced that the La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will bow on Broadway in the 2012-2013 season. Imelda Staunton, Danny Webb and Toby Jones Lead The Royal Court's CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION

The full cast has been announced for Annie Baker's play Circle Mirror Transformation, which runs from 5 July - 3 August at the Rose Lipman Building in Haggerston as part of the Royal Court's Theatre Local project. La Jolla Playhouse announces its first production of the 2012/13 season: the world-premiere musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY, written by Pulitzer Prize winner and La Jolla Playhouse 2011 Gala Honoree Doug Wright (I AM MY OWN WIFE), Amanda Green (BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL) and Trey Anastasio of the popular band Phish, with direction by Neil Pepe (SPEED-THE-PLOW) and choreography by Benjamin Millepied ('Black Swan'), running April 27 - June 10, 2012 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre. Steep Theatre welcomes back Artistic Associate and recent Jeff Award-winning director Jonathan Berry this summer for their U.S. Premiere of Deirdre Kinahan's Moment. This will be the company's first production with Berry back in the director's seat since their 2011 collaboration Festen,which was one of the biggest hits of last summer and one of the most talked about shows of the year. Ms. Kinahan's Moment has been making waves itself since debuting in 2009 at Tall Tales Theatre in Ireland. The production subsequently moved to London, for a widely-praised and sold-out run at the Bush Theatre, and is currently on a seven venue tour of Ireland. Steep's U.S. premiere of Moment opens Thursday, July 12th. The playwright Ms. Kinahan will be coming to Chicago to take in the production August 16th through 18th. (more...)
