Yazbeck's Broadway creditsinclude starring as "Billy Flynn" in the long running revival of CHICAGO, "Phil Davis" in Irving Berlin's White Christmas, "Tulsa" in the recent revival of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone (for which he earned an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination), "Al" in A Chorus Line, Never Gonna Dance, Oklahoma! and Gypsy with Tyne Daly. Emily Skinner to Replace Euan Morton in Cabaret Performances at Signature Theatre, Jan 9-12by BWW News Desk - Nov 16, 2012Euan Morton, who was originally scheduled to bring his solo cabaret act to Signature Theatre in Arlington, has cancelled his appearance due to another commitment at Yale Repertory Theatre. Tony Yazbeck Replaces Sean Palmer in Drury Lane Theatre's SINGIN' IN THE RAINby BWW News Desk - Nov 14, 2012Kyle DeSantis, Executive Producer of Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, announced today that Broadway actor Tony Yazbeck will take over the role of "Don Lockwood" in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, replacing Sean Palmer who suffered an injury. Breaking News: HONEYMOON IN VEGAS Toronto Production Called Off; Future Plans for Show to be Announced Soonby BWW - Aug 1, 2012It was announced back in February that Honeymoon in Vegas, a new musical, would open on Broadway in the spring of 2013 following a premiere engagement this November in Toronto.
A production source tells BroadwayWorld.com that 'The New York producers have decided not to open the show in Toronto this fall because of scheduling issues. Future plans for the production will be announced soon.' (more...)
