Actor, director, producer and playwright Anthony Wilkinson will return to Sound Waves Theater at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in 2026 with a three-part residency.

Anthony J. Wilkinson's “My Big Gay Italian Casino Adventure” will formally open off-off-Broadway at Sound Waves Theater at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Off-Broadway veteran actor and producer Anthony J. Wilkinson has set two performances of his hit new comedy show, “My Big Gay Italian Casino Adventure,” for Sound Waves Theater at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.

Off-Broadway veteran actor and producer Anthony J. Wilkinson will preview a new comedy, “My Big Gay Italian Casino Adventure,” in Sound Waves Theater at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. 

On the 9th the 10th of January at 8PM in the Seminole Ballroom at the Hardrock Hollywood Hotel & Casino, 'My Big Gay Italian Wedding' marks its twenty-second year with two special performances, by invitation only.  

It's a big gay weekend in Atlantic City onFriday, Dec, 13 and Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. in Sounds Waves Theater at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.  That’s when 'My Big Gay Italian Christmas' takes the stage as the third Anthony J. Wilkinson theatrical production since his Hard Rock Atlantic City residency began in early 2024.

My Big Gay Italian Wedding has been scheduled for Hard Rock Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa on Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 13, with both shows at 8 p.m.

It's a Big Gay Weekend in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday the 18th of June at 8PM in Ovation Hall at the Ocean Resort and Casino, when 'My Big Gay Italian Wedding' marks its nineteenth year with a one night only special performance for pride month.

My Big Gay Italian Wedding, created by Anthony J. Wilkinson, is celebrating its 16-year anniversary with a special pride week of seven performances at the brand-new Avenel Performing Arts Center. Wilkinson is currently the Executive and Artistic Director of the venue in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township, New Jersey. 

My Big Gay Italian Wedding, by Anthony J. Wilkinson, will be making it's debut in the Sunshine state this weekend on April 5thand 6that Old School Square in Delray Beach. The hit long running Off-Broadway original of what is now a four-part series celebrated its first opening at the Actors Playhouse on November 2nd, 2003. 

Gianfranco Terrin, a native of Naples who trained in Los Angeles at the Lee Strasberg Institute, is the director of the new Hollywood production. and is probably best known for his work on The Disney Channel's 'Movie Surfers' as well as in other Italian and American films. But his decision to present caricatures rather than believable characters takes this seemingly under-rehearsed comedy into the realm of farce.

Anthony Pinnunziato loves Andrew Polinski and has proposed to him. Anthony's very traditional Italian mother, Angela, insists that they have a Catholic wedding with Father Rosalia presiding. Given the Vatican's position on same-sex marriages, this presents a challenge. Angela also insists that Andrew's mother fly in from Florida to attend the wedding, set to take place in the fanciest Italian restaurant. But Andrew's mother still refuses to talk to her gay son.

Mayor John E. McCormac today announced the appointment of Anthony Wilkinson - creator and star of the Big Gay Italian Trilogy series Off-Broadway, three-time Emmy Award winner and Best Supporting Actor Daytime Emmy nominee - as coordinator of the Woodbridge Township Arts initiatives and Operations Manager of the future Avenel Arts Center.

More commonly known for creating the Big Gay Italian Franchise which began with “My Big Gay Italian Wedding” Off-Broadway back in 2003, Wilkinson actually began his career as a Production Associate and then Associate Director at the long running Daytime Drama “One Life to Live.” During his fifteen years working behind the scenes he earned one Daytime Emmy for being part of the Editing Team back in 2007 and two more for being part of the Directing Team in 2008 and 2009. Wilkinson left the soaps in 2009 when “My Big Gay Italian Wedding” began running on an Equity contract doing five performances a week at St. Luke's Theater.

Anthony J. Wilkinson's Big Gay Italian Trilogy, which have all played at different times Off-Broadway since 2003, has been picked up by Resorts Casino and will play this summer in the 1350 seat Superstar Theater.  "My Big Gay Italian Wedding" will play June 30, 2017, "My Big Gay Italian Funeral" will play July 28, 2017, and "My Big Gay Italian Midlife Crisis" will play September 1, 2017 all at 9pm.
