OFFICIAL: Nathan Lane-Led THE NANCE to Open 4/15 at Lyceum Theatre; Jack O'Brien to Direct

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that two-time Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane will head the cast of its upcoming production of THE NANCE, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane to be directed by Jack O'Brien. The production will begin previews on Thursday, March 21 and open on Monday, April 15 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45 Street). (more...)

Billy Crystal to Bring Tony-Winning 700 SUNDAYS Back to Broadway's Imperial Theatre; November 5 - January 5

Billy Crystal will return to Broadway this fall for a 9-week-only limited engagement of his Tony Award-winning, record-breaking play 700 SUNDAYS. This will mark the final engagement of this production. Cast Set for Broadway's THE LYONS

Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS -- a critical and popular success when it debuted last fall at Vineyard Theatre -- will transfer to Broadway's Cort Theatre (138 W. 48 St.) with its entire original cast expected to be inteact, including the Tony Award-winning stars Linda Lavin and Dick Latessa, along with Kate Jennings Grant, Brenda Pressley and Gregory Wooddell. Nathan Lane Coming Back to Broadway in THE NANCE; Jack O'Brien to Direct

According to the New York Times, Broadway favorite Nathan Lane will be heading back to Broadway in Douglas Carter Beane's The Nance, a new play about a performer who played the role of the nance in burlesque shows in the early 20th century. Lincoln Center Theater is looking to bring the show to Broadway in spring 2013, with Jack O'Brien attached to direct. (more...)

The Broadhurst Theatre box office opens tomorrow, Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM for LUCKY GUY, starring two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe. The Broadhurst Theatre is located at 235 West 44th Street. The production will play a strictly limited engagement. Opening night is Monday, April 1. Previews begin Friday, March 1. (more...)

Laura Osnes Leads Broadway-Bound CINDERELLA Reading this Month

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Laura Osnes is starring as Cinderella in the Mark Brokaw-helmed new Broadway-bound production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA. The musical is being produced by Robyn Goodman and Aged in Wood Productions. The reading began yesterday, January 12 and runs through the end of next week. No announcements for Broadway casting have been made and an Osnes spokesperson could not confirm her participation beyond the reading. (more...)

Mark Brokaw to Helm Broadway's CINDERELLA in 2012-2013
