The man who forever changed the sound of rock 'n' roll when he invented distortion, Kink's legend Dave Davies, has recorded a brand new solo album of all original material! To be released on Cleopatra Records on June 4th, 'I Will Be Me' features guest appearances by The Jayhawks, Anti-Flag, award winning UK blues guitarist Oli Brown, Chris Spedding, US stoner rock band Dead Meadow, Aussie rockers The Art, Geri X and others! Sundance Institute to Honor Roger Ebert, Ryan Coogler at LA Benefit, 6/5

The third annual Celebrate Sundance Institute Los Angeles Benefit, celebrating artistry and visionary leadership in independent film. This year, the benefit will honor the life and work of beloved journalist and film critic Roger Ebert with the Vanguard Leadership Award in Memoriam, in recognition of his advocacy of independent cinema. The award will be presented by Sundance Institute President and Founder Robert Redford and accepted by Ebert's wife, Chaz Ebert. Kerry Washington will present Ryan Coogler with the Vanguard Award, Presented by Tiffany & Co. Coogler is a director and alum of the Sundance Institute Feature Film Program. His first feature film, Fruitvale Station, was selected for Sundance Institute's Screenwriters Lab and went on to win both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. Ensemble ACJW Concludes 2012-2013 Season at Brooklyn's Galapagos Art Space

In a newly announced concert, Ensemble ACJW performs an original program entitledFrom Dusk til Dawn: A Musical Journey from Darkness to Light at Galapagos Art Space onMonday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. For their debut performance at the Brooklyn venue, the musicians have put together an imaginative program with several of their original compositions and new arrangements in addition to works and excerpts by Chopin, Ravel, Schoenberg, Messiaen, George Crumb, Herbie Hancock, and more. The program is a musical journey from darkness to light, with repertoire selected to represent dusk, Midnight, and dawn-sometimes explicitly and other times more abstractly. Cinipix to Film Section of New Sci-Fi Film NEWCOMERS in Space

Cinipix, a vertically integrated production, acquisition and distribution company headed by CEO Todd Slater (Ray, Raze), announced today that it has joined forces with Patricia A Beninati and Michael K Anderson's Centerboro Productions to produce the sci-fi action film "Newcomers" and will send XCOR Aerospace's commercial spacecraft, the Lynx, into space to shoot exclusive footage for the film. Summer in Little Italy will officially start on Saturday, May 25, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 12 Noon marking the opening of the Mulberry Street Pedestrian Mall, it was announced by Ralph Tramontana, President of the Little Ital Merchants Association (LIMA) which has operated the Mall since its creation 25 years ago. Tommy Hilfiger Launches Surf Shack Summer Program with Art Production Fund

The Tommy Hilfiger Group, which is wholly owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], celebrated the launch of its limited edition Surf Shack capsule collection and collaboration with Art Production Fund (APF) - an ongoing partner of the Tommy Hilfiger Corporate Foundation - at No. 8 in New York City. The event also announced the cross-continent Surf Shack bus tour starting in San Diego in June. The customized Surf Shack bus will travel to cities across North America, opening up as a mobile pop-up shop to sell the capsule collection, the artist-designed surf boards and other specialty product.
