TNT Renews BOSTON'S FINEST for Second Season, CNN Lands Encores

TNT has ordered a second season of the powerful docudrama Boston's Finest, which recently completed its first season. The unscripted series offers viewers an up-close and very personal look at the men and women of the Boston Police Department and what it takes to protect one of America's greatest and most distinctive cities. TNT has ordered six episodes for the second season of Boston's Finest, which is set to return in early 2014. As part of the TNT renewal, sister network CNN plans to encore the series. (more...)

VIDEO: First Look - MOTIVE's "Crimes of Passion," Airing 5/23

On MOTIVE's upcoming episode, titled 'Crimes of Passion,' when a teenage girl is killed in a hit-and-run accident, first clues point Detectives Flynn and Vega toward the girl's disgruntled ex-boyfriend. Passion is a strong enough motive for murder, but Angie believes the boyfriend is innocent and begins to unravel a connection between the victim and an eminent prosecutor in the midst of a mayoral campaign. It turns out that passion may well be the motive, and the underpinning of a secret double life, on THURSDAY, MAY 23 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC. (more...)

Dee Dee Bridgewater Leads LADY DAY Musical at the Little Shubert Theatre

Multi-award-winning set designer Beowulf Boritt, along with noted costumes designer Patricia A. Hibbert, and acclaimed lighting designed by Ryan O'Gara will head the design team for the upcoming Billie Holiday musical "Lady Day" starring Tony and multiple Grammy Award-winner Dee Dee Bridgewater. With an opening set for Thursday, October 3rd(6:30PM) the production will take residence at Times Square's Little Shubert Theatre (422 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). Written and directed by Stephen Stahl, the musical will make its New York debut having been produced at the Theatre de Boulogne-Billancourt and Theatre du Gymnase Marie Bell in Paris as well as The Donmar Warehouse and The Piccadilly Theatre in London, where it received critical praise and garnered an Olivier "Best Actress in a Musical" Award nomination for Ms. Bridgewater. Produced by Misty Road Productionsthe show's creative team also includes three-time Emmy Award winning composer & arranger Bill Jolly, who will serve as musical director. AFA Announces Semi-Pro/Minor League Football Hall of Fame 'Class of 2013'

The American Football Association's Hall of Fame selection committee has completed its annual task of reviewing personal profiles of qualified individuals nominated for induction into the Semi-Pro/Minor League Football Hall of Fame as the 'Class of 2013'. Information submitted by HOF alumni and subsequent review by the selection committee resulted in the selection of 20 people for enshrinement this year. (more...)
