ONE NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN Begins at Milwaukee Rep Tonight

With a voice like whiskey and a laugh like pure joy, Janis Joplin took the music scene by storm. Simultaneously rough and vulnerable, Joplin was dubbed the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, proving music wasn't just a man's world anymore. Now, in a new musical event featuring more than a dozen singers and band members, playwright-director Randy Johnson creates 'a compelling portrait of an artist' (Culturemob) through the words, inspiration and music of one of America's greatest rock 'n' roll originals. One Night With Janis Joplin is a full-on concert experience and musical journey into the life and inspirations of one of rock 'n' roll's greatest legends and it runs in The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse from tonight, May 3 - June 2, 2013 and opens on Monday, May 6, 2013. STAGE TUBE: FOREVER DUSTY's Kirsten Holly Smith and Christina Sajous Recreate James Bond Classic 'The Look of Love'

In tribute to '50 Years of Bond,' Kirsten Holly Smith (as Dusty Springfield) and Christina Sajous (as Dusty's lover, Claire), stars of the new musical Forever Dusty, have recorded a music video of 'The Look of Love,' putting a new spin on Burt Bacharach and Hal David's Oscar nominated classic made popular by Dusty Springfield herself from the 1967 James Bond film, Casino Royale. That year, the song famously lost the Academy Award to 'Talk to the Animals' from Doctor Doolittle, but at Sunday's Oscars, Adele is favored to win for her own Bond tune, a new rendition of 'Skyfall.' The RRazz Room Will Relocate in 2013

The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, has officially announced its relocation to a new space with a new name "Live at the RRazz." Partners Robert Kotonly and Rory Paull revealed today that the celebrated club will move to its new digs in January, the historic Cadillac Building at 1000 Van Ness Avenue. The new spot will feature an expanded menu by renowned San Francisco chef Bronson Macomber, upgraded service, additional seating, convenient parking, easy public transportation access, and even more exciting programming than ever before. The 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM shows on December 31 (New Year's Eve) by acclaimed jazz vocalist Kim Nalley will conclude its residency at The Hotel Nikko.
