BWW Reviews: With Her New 54 Below Show, FAITH PRINCE Proves She Can Become a Cabaret Queenby Stephen Hanks - Jun 8, 2013About a third of the way into Tony Award-winner Faith Prince's new show at 54 Below last Wednesday night (the second of a five-show run over six days), it hit me that I could be watching a potential future cabaret legend in action. You know, in the Barbara Cook, Marilyn Maye, Andrea Marcovicci, Ann Hampton Callaway category. I felt Prince's new effort--'Have a Little Faith'--was one of the few shows I've seen at 54 Below--especially from a Broadway star--that was a true 'cabaret show' in the way most people define cabaret. Cameron Mackintosh to Bring OLIVER! Back to Broadwayby BWW Special Coverage - Jun 18, 2013Today, Michael Riedel reports that in addition to upcoming productions of MISS SAIGON, BARNUM and a Broadway return of LES MIS that 'As if three shows weren't enough, Mackintosh is also planning a Broadway revival of 'Oliver!' Lionel Bart's chirpy old musical hasn't been seen in New York since a short-lived 1983 production starring Patti LuPone. It's said to be Mackintosh's favorite musical, and it's how he got his start in the theater. 'Oliver!' played the New Theatre in London in 1960, and a teenage Mackintosh got a job polishing the brass railing in the theater lobby.' (more...)

Broadway Veteran, Vince Pesce will assume the position of Director of Education at STAGES Kent Center for Theatre Arts, the new state-of-the-art facility, effective immediately. Pesce replaces longtime Education Director Rob Grumich, who will remain during the transition through July. Also, Tali Allen Liddell will become the Manager of Community Programs and Partnerships. HANDS ON A HARDBODY Cast Album Gets 7/9 Digital Releaseby Stage Tube - Jun 13, 2013Ghostlights Records has just announced that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of HANDS ON A HARDBODY will be released for digital download on July 9, 2013 and the CD will arrive in stores on August 13. The show was nominated for three 2013 Tony Awards, including "Best Original Score." The album features a cut song from the show called "The Tryers" as a special bonus track.
