THUNDER ROCK Plays TBG Theatre, Now thru 5/13by BWW News Desk - May 2, 2012In Thunder Rock, successful author and former Daily News reporter David Charleston becomes disturbed by the state of the world; he takes a job as a lighthouse keeper and the sole resident of Thunder Rock Island. When he notices a memorial plaque dedicated to a sailing ship of immigrants which fatally crashed on the island 90 years prior, he starts to imagine how ideal life was in their time. Soon, they begin appearing to him. At first he controls them, until they decide to teach him about the eternal struggles of life. (more...)

ReGroup Theatre's THE SILENT PARTNER Set for The Players Club, 7/15by BWW News Desk - Jun 9, 2013Clifford Odets' The Silent Partner, was originally written for production by The Group Theatre, but the company sadly closed its doors before the play was ever mounted. It was never published, and other than a 1972 Lee Strasberg helmed workshop at the Actors Studio, the play has been unseen for 75 years causing it to be the source of much speculation. Often referred to as a long-form version of Waiting for Lefty as it deals with striking workers, it is an entirely original and savagely poetic 3-Act tale that only Odets could tell. (more...)
