The New School for Drama Names Joe Mantello Artist-in-Residence

The New School for Drama has announced that the award-winning director Joe Mantello will be the distinguished artist-in-residence for the 2010-2011 academic year. Cannavale, Giamatti & Ryan Join 'Win Win' Film

Bobby Cannavale, Paul Giamatti, and Amy Ryan will star in the upcoming 'Win Win' film that will begin primary production March 15th in New York City, Variety is reporting. Giamatti plays plays a struggling attorney who moonlights as a high school wrestling coach. All aspects of his life are thrown in the air when he becomes the legal guardian of a client whose grandson shows up on his doorstep. (more...)

The official opening night for Polly Draper in MY BRILLIANT DIVORCE, took place last Saturday night at Bay Street Theatre. Geraldine Aron, the playwright for this American Premiere attended the after party in the lobby along with other theatre veterans including Blythe Danner, TEd Hartley and Dina Merrill, John McDaniel, Terrence McNally, Joe Pintauro, Mercedes Ruehl, Sloan Shelton, and Harris Yulin. Amy Ryan Joins HBO's 'In Treatment' for Third Season

Deadline.com reports that Amy Ryan has joined the cast of HBO's 'In Treatment' for its upcoming third season. She will be replacing Academy Award-winner Dianne Wiest as a new therapist for Dr. Paul Weston. A season premiere date has not been announced. Ryan was previously seen on HBO in 'The Wire.'
