Alces Productions Announces BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE Cast

New York and London producer Alces Productions is pleased to announce the cast for its November production at the Greenwich Playhouse of John Van Druten's classic romantic comedy about witchcraft and romance, Bell, Book and Candle. This production is the first professional UK revival of the play in almost two decades, and marks Alces Productions' premiere appearance at the Playhouse. (more...)

Alces Productions Postpones Opening of BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE; Announces Casting Change

Alces Productions announces that due to serious cast illness it is postponing the opening of its forthcoming production of John Van Druten's classic comedy about witchcraft and romance, Bell, Book and Candle to Thursday, 10th November. As a result of illness, Christine Lohr is unable to continue in the role of Aunt ‘Queenie' Holroyd. She is replaced by Carole Street, an actress of considerable experience in numerous London Off-West End venues. (more...)

The York Theatre Company present NEO7, a benefit concert celebrating New, Emerging, Outstanding musical theatre writers, last night Monday, May 16 at its home at the Theatre at Saint Peter's. "NEO" (an acronym for "New, Emerging, Outstanding") celebrates songwriters primed to pen the next generation of musicals. Since the first NEO concert 6 years ago -- recorded by England's JAY Records-- musical theatre fans and York supporters eagerly anticipate each incarnation. NEO7 included songs by the following new musical theatre writers: Will Aronson & Bill Nelson; Andre Catrini; Adam David Cohen & Patrick Gallagher; Jonathan Matthew Gilbert & John Andrew Tarbet; Tom Gualtieri & David Sisco; Richard Isen; Steven Jamail; Mark McDaniels & Donald Garverick; Mary Liz McNamara; Michael Mitnick; Jonathan Monro; Benjamin Velez; and Derrick Wang. ICT Presents the West Coast Premiere of THE FIX, 4/27-5/20

Just as the 2012 presidential race heats up,International City Theatre (ICT) presents the West Coast premiere of a hard-boiled, darkly comic, Olivier Award-nominated rock musical about the American political machine. With book and lyrics by John Dempsey and music by Dana P. Rowe, The Fix begins a four-week run on April 27 at International City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Randy Brenner is at the helm, with musical direction by Darryl Archibald, choreography by Heather Castillo, and Sal Mistretta reprising his Helen Hayes Award-winning role as Uncle Grahame.
