Raging Squid Ink to Bring THE DEAD DREAM MACHINE to La Luz, 9/18-10/13

Raging Squid Ink and Eric Schmalenberger have announced the world premiere production of Jake Thomas' THE DEAD DREAM MACHINE, video art directed by Sean Gill and directed and choreographed by Rachel Klein. THE DEAD DREAM MACHINE will play a limited engagement at La Luz (135 Thames Street, Brooklyn, NY). Performances begin Wednesday, September 18 and continue through Saturday, October 13. Kate Walsh Accidentally Stops DUSK Performance for Beeping Hearing Aid

Contactmusic.com reports that Kate Walsh recently stopped a performance of the Off-Broadway two-hander DUSK RINGS A BELL when someone's beeping hearing aid interrupted a monologue. According to the article, Walsh thought the noise was created by a cell phone, and reported seeing a Blackberry out in the audience. (more...)

Lincoln Center Theater previously announced that Betsy Aidem, Blair Brown, Michael Cerveris, Anthony Cochrane, Lauren Culpepper, Alvin Epstein, Kathryn Erbe, John Glover, Jennifer B. Grace, Katie Kreisler, Stephen Kunken, Haviland Morris, Dale Place, John Procaccino, Gareth Saxe and Alan Schmuckler would be featured in the 18-member cast of its world premiere production of NIKOLAI AND THE OTHERS, a new play by Richard Nelson. The play, which was commissioned by Lincoln Center Theater, will be directed by David Cromer and will begin performances tonight, April 4 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater.
