Lissie's New Album BACK TO FOREVER Set For 9/10 Release
by BWW News Desk - Jun 17, 2013

Fat Possum Records will release BACK TO FOREVER, the new studio album from Lissie, on September 10. Produced by Garret 'Jacknife' Lee (R.E.M., Snow Patrol, Silversun Pickups), the 12-song collection is every bit as frank as 2010's CATCHING A TIGER, but reflects an objectivity and depth that come only with the benefit of hindsight, after healing from the hard knocks endured at love's hands. BWW Reviews: SECRET GARDEN at St. Edwards University is Haunting and Beautiful
by Jeff Davis - Jun 17, 2013

The last few times I've seen a production at St. Edwards University's Mary Moody Northern Theatre, I've had to remind myself that I'm viewing a show featuring a cast of mostly college students. Every time, the production is of professional quality, and their current production of The Secret Garden is no exception. All audience members are bound to be mesmerized by the physical beauty of the stagecraft and the incredible performances. (more...)

Is laughter really the best medicine? The popular adage is put to the test in this hysterically funny, one-woman tour de force about picking up the pieces of a broken heart and beginning life again, My Brilliant Divorce. In its only second major American regional production, Asolo Rep's Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards directs celebrated Broadway star Mary Testa, a two-time Tony Award nominee, as Angela, the 40-something housewife blindsided by her philandering husband's desertion in Aron's engaging, mid-life crisis comedy. BWW Reviews: Dazzling with the DREAMGIRLS at Mad Cow
by Kimberly Moy - Jun 15, 2013

The most striking thing about Mad Cow Theatre's production of DREAMGIRLS is the amount of sparkles on the costumes and the live band accompanying the performers. Few Orlando musicals use a live band because of logistics; however, with music written by Henry Krieger and lyrics/book by Tom Eyen, anything less than live music would be a travesty. Though the band is not seen, they are heard loud and clear. (more...)
