United Solo Theatre Festival Presents SPEED QUEEN, 11/8-11

The United Solo Theatre Festival will present 'THE SPEED QUEEN,' based on the novel The Speed Queen by Stewart O'Nan, adapted and performed by Anne Stockton and directed by Austin Pendleton for one performance only on Thursday, November 18th at 8:30 pm. The performance is part of the larger United Solo Theatre Festival presenting the works of 47 solo artists running November 8th through November 11th at Theatre Row. Austin Pendleton to Receive Active Theater's 2012 Arts Award, 6/6

Actor, playwright and director AUSTIN PENDLETON will be the recipient of the 2012 ACTIVE ARTS AWARD, it was announced today by Nathaniel Shaw, Artistic Director of The Active Theater. Austin Pendleton Directs Boston Midsummer Opera's DON PASQUALE, 7/25-29

For its seventh season Boston Midsummer Opera (BMO) presents the comic piece, Donizetti's Don Pasquale, playing at the Tsai Performance Center at Boston University for three performances only, July 25, 27, and 29. Obie Award winner/Tony Award nominee Austin Pendleton directs the fully staged and costumed production. Music director and nationally acclaimed conductor Susan Davenny Wyner leads the performances, which will be performed with orchestra and sung in English. Metropolitan Opera bass Ricardo Lugo will sing the role of Don Pasquale. (more...)
