Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley Join Cast of NO MAN'S LAND and WAITING FOR GODOT

Tony Award winners Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley will join Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart in the limited season repertoire of Harold Pinter's No Man's Land and Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, directed by Sean Mathias, on Broadway at the Cort Theatre, 138 West 48th Street, this fall. Performances will begin Saturday, October 26 at 8pm. The official opening is Sunday, November 24, 2013. This limited season will run for 14 weeks only. (more...)

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pine and Jake Gyllenhaal are in talks to join Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and James Corden in Disney's film adaptation of Stephen Sondehim's musical INTO THE WOODS. If cast, these would be the actors' first on-screen singing roles. Pine and Gyllenhaal are likely being considered for the roles of Cinderella and Rapunzel's princes, a pair of competitive, arrogant men in search of true love. (more...)

THE PARK: PAINTINGS BY ERIK BENSON Opens 5/2 at Arsenal Gallery; Artists Talk Set for 5/23

The City of New York Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Edward Tyler Nahem Fine Art, has announced the exhibition, The Park, by Erik Benson. This new series of paintings, created with thousands of shapes hand-cut from dried sheets of acrylic paint, depict colorful but eerily abandoned playgrounds in stark urban landscapes. Drawings from this series, as well as a stop-motion video documenting Benson's unique painting method are also on view. These exquisite compositions of urban landscape will be exhibited in the Arsenal Gallery from May 2 through June 20. (more...)
