Brighton Fringe has launched its 2013 programme online, offering a huge variety of 685 shows (and counting) with 3275 performances and 210 premieres in 178 venues with 38 international acts and 220 home-grown Brighton shows which makes it the richest and largest yet. Not only this but this year England's biggest arts festival lasts longer, running an extra week from tonight, 4 May to 2 June to incorporate both spring bank holidays and half term. (more...)

The Big!World!Fun! Family Series returns to the Ford Theatres this summer with an exciting roster of music and dance performances appropriate for children ages four to 12. Presented on Saturday mornings in July and August in the outdoor, shaded amphitheatre, Big!World!Fun! is FREE for children and adults pay $5. New York Philharmonic Receives 'Leonard Bernstein Award for Educational Programming'

The New York Philharmonic is to be honored today with a 2012-13 ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming, earning the Leonard Bernstein Award for Educational Programming, at the League of American Orchestras 68th National Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. The Philharmonic was selected for including in its 2012-13 season of educational programming works by contemporary composers Steven Stucky, Tristan Murail, Magnus Lindberg, and Wynton Marsalis as well as works by students from the Philharmonic's Credit Suisse Very Young Composers program. DoubleTree by Hilton Expands Southwest Portfolio with Newest Hotel in Metro-Phoenix

DoubleTree by Hilton and Driftwood Hospitality Management today announced the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Tempe, a contemporary hotel offering a tranquil escape in the Valley of the Sun. In anticipation of its conversion to Hilton Worldwide's fastest growing full service brand, the former Fiesta Resort underwent a five-month, $3 million renovation that includes enhancements throughout the hotel's 270 guest rooms, updates to the public spaces and outdoor areas of the hotel, as well as revamping the food and beverage offerings.
