News Desk - May 3, 2013Red Bull Theater will present the American Premiere of a new adaptation of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death by Mike Poulton (Tony Award Nominee for Best Play for Fortune's Fool), directed by Joseph Hardy (Tony Award winner for Best Director for Child's Play), for a strictly limited engagement beginning April 10th and continuing through May 4th only, at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets). THE AMERICAN PLAN to Transfer to St. James Theatreby BWW News Desk - May 3, 2013St. James Theatre and Theatre Royal Bath Productions present the Ustinov Studio production of The American Plan by Richard Greenberg, directed by David Grindley. The production will transfer to the St. James Theatre from Tuesday 2 July to Saturday 10 August 2013, with press night on Monday 8 July at 7pm. The production received its UK premiere earlier this year at the Ustinov Studio, Bath. BWW Reviews: Ballet's Greatest Hits: YAGP Galaby Barnett Serchuk - Apr 3, 2013I recently attended a performance of La Bayadere. The dancing was excellent, but the music by Ludwig Minkus was excruciating. I realize that it has a jump, a bounce, danceable adagio notes, but after three hours of listening to it my head was spinning. I went home intending to wash Minkus out of both my hair and brain by listening to every note that Shostakovich and Prokofiev ever wrote. If I want to hear music, let's not settle for anything less than best and, many times, the brilliant. (more...)
