The Battle Rounds week two continued in full force. However, with the compatibility of all of these singers, the audience was left wondering if these should be called the "Battle Rounds" at all, because nothing about tonight resembled a battlefield. BWW Reviews: 9 to 5 THE MUSICAL - Broadway Palm Dinner Theatreby Justin Cowan - Oct 13, 20129 to 5: The Musical, based on the popular 1980 film, tells the story of Consolidated Industries employees Doralee (Zoe Kassay), Violet (Erin Romero), and Judy (Amanda Kuchinski) as they struggle to be respected in a male dominated work place. Sexism and harassment abound until the three girls plot revenge on their boss, Mr. Hart (Galloway Stevens). Throw in some mayhem, an exciting score penned by Dolly Parton herself, and you're left with the above premise spread over two full acts clocking in at around 2 and a half hours with intermission. These questions and more are posed in the riveting second offering from fledgling theater company Azeotrope with their production of "Jesus Hopped the A Train" currently running at ACT. A heavy play to be sure but deftly delivered from a company that is quickly becoming one to watch.
