This concert will feature vocal and dance performances by talented kids representing 10 different states. This group of 'ready for prime-time' professional and aspiring kids include many with professional credits: Broadway, Off-Broadway, Television, National Tours and more! News Desk - May 4, 2013Hunter College Art Galleries presents Open Work in Latin America, New York & Beyond: Conceptualism Reconsidered, 1967-1978, curated by Harper Montgomery, the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Professor in Latin American Art. The opening reception will take place on Thursday, February 7th, 6-8pm in The Bertha and Karl Leubsdorf Art Gallery at Hunter College (West Building at the southwest corner of 68th Street and Lexington Avenue, NYC). Carly Rae Jepsen and More Support Candie's Foundation Initiative to Prevent Teen Pregnancyby BWW News Desk - May 3, 2013The Candie's Foundation created a national dialogue on May 1st, the National Day to prevent teen pregnancy. The Foundation's initiatives garnered over 200 million impressions with its message of teen pregnancy prevention. The Candie's Foundation partnered with Thunderclap, a social media platform that programs a tweet and Facebook post to be sent out automatically at a set time. The message, 2,000 teenage girls will get pregnant today. I stand with @CandiesOrg #NoTeenPreg was sent out by social media powerhouses: Chris Brown, Carly Rae Jepsen, Lucy Hale, Bella Thorne, Jenny McCarthy, Audrina Patridge, and others. The Adobe Theater to Stage Neil Simon's LOST IN YONKERS, Beg. 6/28by BWW News Desk - May 21, 2013Yonkers, NY is city just north of the Bronx, where playwright Neil Simon was born on the 4th of July, 85 years ago. He has chronicled family life in the Great Depression and after in a series of prize-winning plays, musicals and films. His frequent theme shows 'likeable people in difficult situations.' His 1991 Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy, 'Lost In Yonkers,' will be presented at the ADOBE Theater for four weekends, starting June 28. Director Heather Lovick-Tolley chose to direct this somewhat painful comedy in celebration of Simon's longevity as a celebrated American playwright. (more...)

The Southern Theater Opens TRICK BOXING, 6/1by BWW News Desk - May 13, 2013The Southern Theater today announced the presentation of Trick Boxing by Sossy Mechanics, a fast-paced physical comedy full of rapid-fire dialogue, "Fred-and-Ginger style dancing" and puppetry.
