Tony Awards Set for Broadcast on CBS Through 2018!

CBS announced today a new broadcast agreement with The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing that will keep the annual TONY Awards broadcast on the CBS Television Network through 2018. The awards show, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been a part of the CBS family for the past 35 years. (more...)

Drowning Pool Announce Second Leg of Summer Headlining Tour

Hot off the release of their fifth studio album Resilience, out now on Eleven Seven Music, Drowning Pool will embark on their US tour titled the Resilience Tour. Today the band announces the second leg of tour dates with co-headliners Pop Evil which begin July 21st in St. Louis, MO. The first leg of the tour kicks off this week in St. Petersburg, FL on May 24th with guests Eye Empire. Armed with new singer Jasen Moreno, Drowning Pool is at their most focused, fiery, and fierce. With two singles off the album already charting at active rock radio, the band continues to persevere through it all, fists in the air. Continuing the band's long-standing partnership, tomorrow on May 23rd the USO will release a PSA featuring Drowning Pool and their song "Bleed With You." (more...)

Pivot Multi-Arts Festival is Presented, 6/6 - 6/22

Pivot Arts launches a new celebration of innovative theater, music and dance in unique and often historic spaces from June 6 – 22, 2013 throughout Chicago's Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods. Tickets Go on Sale 5/22 for Lincoln Center's MIDSUMMER NIGHT SWING

Tickets go on sale for Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing starting Wednesday, May 22. Individual tickets are $17, which includes a dance lesson with a professional instructor followed by two sets of dancing under the stars to a live orchestra. This summer marks the 25th Anniversary season of Midsummer Night Swing, and to celebrate, tickets will be sold at a special '2 for $25' price on May 22 only. There are also Midsummer Night Passes priced at $84 for six admissions, and $170 for the full season. Four-admission passes are available for $60. (more...)

Wynonna Judd Set for DANCING WITH THE STARS Finale

WYNONNA JUDD will once again take a turn around the Ballroom when she returns to ABC's “Dancing With The Stars” for the Tuesday, May 21 two-hour season finale, airing live 9-11pm ET. The five-time Grammy winner will perform a show-stopping opening dance number with all her fellow celebrity cast members and the pro and troupe dancers. Atlantic recording artist Cody Simpson has revealed details of his anticipated new album. 'SURFERS PARADISE' which follows the Australian-born pop star's 2012 debut, 'PARADISE' arrives everywhere on July 16th. 'Surfers Paradise is basically the most famous area on the Gold Coast of Australia, where I am from,' explains Simpson. 'I think this album really represents that piece of me, my lifestyle, and where I come from. When making my first album 'Paradise' it was sort of a journey to find myself as a young adult & artist. Robert K. Kraft to Receive Carnegie Hall Medal of Excellence, 6/13

Carnegie Hall announced today that Robert K. Kraft-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of The Kraft Group and Chairman and CEO of the New England Patriots -will receive the Carnegie Hall Medal of Excellence at a gala benefit on Thursday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. at The Waldorf Astoria's Grand Ballroom. The award, recognizing Mr. Kraft's outstanding leadership in business and philanthropy, will be presented by Sanford I. Weill, Chairman of Carnegie Hall's Board of Trustees. Scott Pelley, the managing editor for CBS Evening News and correspondent for 60 Minutes, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. (more...)
