Alice Ripley to Star in CIVIL WAR CHRISTMAS at New York Theatre Workshop, 11/13-12/30

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that tickets are on sale for A Civil War Christmas, written by Paula Vogel and directed by Tina Landau. Performances of this holiday-themed work begin Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 7pm at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, December 4 at 7pm. A Civil War Christmas is scheduled to run through Sunday, December 30. (more...)

Two Time Tony Award winner NORBERT LEO BUTZ (Catch Me If You Can) and Emmy and Independent Spirit Award nominee ELIZABETH REASER (Twilight, Grey's Anatomy) will co-star in Second Stage Theatre's upcoming production of Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE. Directed by Kate Whoriskey, the production begins previews on Tuesday, January 24 and officially opens on Monday, February 13 at 7:00pm at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd Street). HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE Opens at Capital Stage Tonight, 5/19

Capital Stage previously announced a change to its 2011-12 schedule. How I Learned to Drive, originally scheduled for a July/August run, opens at the midtown theatre tonight, May 19. The Sacramento premiere of Christopher Shinn's Dying City will move to the summer production dates, July 18 - August 12, 2012. 'We're changing the performance schedule of the these two productions to accommodate a scheduling conflict with one of our key artists,' explains Producing Director, JoNathan Williams. (more...)
