The youngest children will study classic story books near and dear to American childhood, while older elementary students work on a favorite genre, the melodrama. middle school and high school students will explore American playwrights and their great historical and cultural connections. Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the riveting stage version of the new supernatural blues and roots musical from author Stephen King, musician John Mellencamp and producer/songwriter T Bone Burnett, will play Hennepin Theatre Trust's State Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. This haunting tale of fraternal love, lust, jealousy and revenge will be performed by an ensemble cast of 15 actors and a four-piece live band. The album of the musical (Concord Music Group), featuring such artists as Elvis Costello, Sheryl Crow, Neko Case and Kris Kristofferson, will be released on June 4.
