'People say, 'Well, you're a bit woolly' and 'You're really not informed'; 'You're not this' and 'You're not that,' Izzard said, 'But I realise those attacks are going to happen and you have to push through to get to a better place.' Eddie Izzard to Star in NBC Comedy Pilot MOCKINGBIRD LANE

Acording to Deadline.com, Eddie Izzard is currently in final talks to star in and produce NBC's upcoming remake of the 1960's sitcom 'The Munsters'. The project, entitled MOCKINGBIRD LANE, is written by Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer. Izzard is the first actor who has been cast in the project. (more...)

Thalia's Umbrella, a new professional theater company, announces their first production: the dark comedy A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, by Peter Nichols. Named one of the 'most significant' plays of the 20th century by the National Theatre of Great Britain, Joe Egg will be performed January 31-February 17, 2013, in the Bullitt Cabaret at ACT Theatre, and is produced with support from ACT's Central Heating Lab. LUCKY GUY Box Office Opens Tomorrow, Jan 25

The Broadhurst Theatre box office opens tomorrow, Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM for LUCKY GUY, starring two-time Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks, in the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. BWW Reviews: A DAY IN THE DEATH OF JOE EGG at ACT Engaging But Dated

What would you do if you had a child who couldn't run or play or really even communicate? That's the central question of Peter Nichols' 1968 play “A Day in the Death of Joe Egg” currently playing at ACT from fledgling theater group Thalia's Umbrella. And while I definitely found some moments and performances in the show thoughtful and engaging, the show itself just seems a bit dated and droning. (more...)

Additional Broadway credits include: They're Playing Our Song, A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, The House of Blue Leaves, Six Degrees of Separation, Woman in Mind, Four Baboons Adoring the Sun, and The Lion in Winter.
