Actress/Producer Tal Fox is about to open in the rarely produced In Trousers at The Lounge. In our conversation she tells us about this and her other theatrical chestnuts. Tal holds a BFA in Musical Theater and BA in Communications from Pace University, and is also a producer, writer, and casting director. The Little Theatre of Manchester (LTM) continues its 2019 season with the Tony and Academy Award winning musical DREAMGIRLS, playing April 12 - 28, 2019,

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) and Yellow Sound Label announce the release of the original cast recording of Kristen Childs' rowdy, wild, and hilarious Bella: An American Tall Tale. Hard copies of the album, produced by Michael Croiter, can be purchased at yellowsoundlabel.com and phnyc.org beginning February 22, when it will also become available digitally on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Apple Music. Could DREAMGIRLS be steppin' to the bad side on Broadway later this season? An Equity Principal Audition for the production will be held next week at Pearl Studios. An audition listing notes the production will be directed by Casey Nicholaw, produced by Sonia Friedman Production and land on Broadway in 2019/20.

The company of Dreamgirls is entering the holiday season in style with a series of events to celebrate the show's final Christmas at the Savoy Theatre.

Irvine Barclay Theatre was recently informed that Bebe Neuwirth is withdrawing from her concert engagement at Irvine Barclay Theatre on March 16th. Scheduling conflicts will preclude her from being able to perform at the Barclay as planned. In her stead, the Barclay is announcing a performance on the same date, March 16, 2019 at 8pm, of 4 GIRLS 4 featuring four legendary Broadway singers and actresses.

Tony-nominated Broadway actress Loretta Ables Sayre will celebrate her 60th birthday at Blue Note Hawaii in Waikiki on April 1 [her actual birthday] with shows at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Ables Sayre's performances will feature jazz standard selections from the Great American Songbook. Joining Loretta will be Hawaii-based musicians Jim Howard on piano, Dean Taba on bass and Darryl Pellegrini on drums. In addition, she will be joined by special guest artist Robert Cazimero.
