Subscriptions For The 2020 Summer Mainstage Season On Sale Now At Bay Street Theater

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce that 3-play subscriptions for the 2020 Summer Mainstage Season are now on sale to buy or renew. Each subscription includes one ticket to each of the 3 Mainstage productions, and a special greatly reduced price for a 4th show during the summer season. Subscriptions are available for Tuesday through Sunday evenings as well as matiness and start at just $141 and go up depending upon day of the week. Subscription pricing is the least expensive way of seeing the Mainstage summer shows, except for students who can attend for free on Sunday matinees, and those under age 20 who can attend for $20, and those under age 30 who can pay just $30.

One Night Only Concert Of CHILDREN OF EDEN Closes Applause Series At Olney

The inaugural season of Olney Theatre's Center's Applause Concert Series comes to a close Friday, July 26 at 8:00pm with a one-night-only performance of Children of Eden, a lesser-known work by Stephen Schwartz, the creator of such hits as Wicked, Pippin and Godspell. The concert, featuring a full cast of DC luminaries and a large on-stage orchestra is directed by Kevin McAllister who pulls double duty, also acting and singing the role of The Father. Christopher Youstra, Olney Theatre's Associate Artistic DirectorDirector of Music Theatre and the series curator serves as music director and conductor. The Kennedy Center Announces 50th KCACTF National Festival

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 50th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 16-20, 2019 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF. Selected awardees and representatives will be brought to Washington, D.C. for an expense-paid trip to participate in the National Festival. These student artists from across the United States have been recognized for their outstanding work from the eight regional festivals that were held January 8 through February 28, 2019.
