As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Darren Criss will return to Broadway in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival, for a limited 12-week engagement starting Wednesday, April 29 at the Belasco Theatre. As previously announced John Cameron Mitchell will play his final performance as Hedwig on Sunday, April 26. Additionally, Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot, Passing Strange), will join the cast, in the role of Yitzhak, beginning Tuesday April 14 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). Hall will star in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the Tony Award winning Best Musical Revival, starting Thursday, October 16 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). HEDWIG will mark Hall's first musical theatre role in over a decade having previously made acclaimed runs in the Broadway productions of Cabaret and Chicago. Tony Award winning star Neil Patrick Harris played his final show in the new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer, last night, August 17.
