PTP/NYC (Potomac Theatre Project), in association with Middlebury College, has announced its 35th repertory season, running July 5 - 31, 2022 in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).

Today (Thursday 12 May 2022) the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) releases a new episode of its in-house podcast, Interval Drinks, featuring RSC Associate Artist and star of stage and screen David Tennant in conversation with Mark Quartley, who currently plays Henry VI in the RSC productions of Henry VI: Rebellion and Wars of the Roses.

Pickering's Trilogy: Truth, Lies and Deception will have its premier at Le Pavé d’Orsay Theatre in the heart of Paris on December 16th. The trilogy contains three short plays Cat and Mouse, Sylvie and Sly and Beach Break.

A hospital bed, chairs, and a large screen greet audiences as Catastrophic Theatre returns with a heartbreaking production of 4.48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane. British playwright, Sarah Kane, is semi-autobiographical as the work deals with mental illness and a young person's descent into finally committing the ultimate self-harm. This play is Kane's last work, as many deem the play as Kane writing about their eventual suicide. Catastrophic's production reveals the many challenges of mental illness and provides a honest and beautiful production of Kane's work.

The Catastrophic Theatre has announced another season of  championing avant-garde plays and playwrights rarely produced in Houston.

“There’s no point in anything because I am going to die” Sarah Kane says 4:48 Psychosis. Posthumously performed in 2000, the play is usually regarded as one of the greatest British playwright’s suicide note. A distressed mind, Kane took her own life at the age of 28 in 1999 and left an immense legacy behind. It has also somewhat become iconic since its debut at the Royal Court and much has been said about it. 

The show is much, but bearable and moreover brings you into the world of a sick person.

Each show premieres virtually on Friday at 7:30pm ET (July 9, July 23 & August 13). After the Friday premiere the stream will be available On Demand for four days - then disappears. Reservations are required to receive a link and password.

Award-winning theatre company Son of Semele Ensemble is announcing its departure from their Silver Lake home of 18 years. Led by Founding Artistic Director Matthew McCray since 2000, the company has been in residence at 3301 Beverly Boulevard in a black box theatre they created in 2003.
