Best In Drag Show - the fabulous and long-running annual fundraiser for Aid For AIDS, a program of Alliance for Healing and Housing - has announced that Emmy and Grammy Award winner Kathy Griffin will open this year's festivities. The celebrity judging panel will include Academy Award nominee Melanie Griffith, Kathy Kinney ("The Drew Carey Show") and Rutina Wesley(OWN's "Queen Sugar"). Additional celebrity judges will be announced soon. Best in Drag Show will be held on October 2, 2016 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. The pre-show party begins at 5:30pm and curtain is at 7:00pm.

Ava DuVernay's QUEEN SUGAR to Premiere on OWN in September

“Queen Sugar,” the new original one-hour weekly drama series from award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay and executive producer Oprah Winfrey, debuts as a two-night event on Tuesday, September 6 and Wednesday, September 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. The series will regularly air Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT for the remainder of its 13-episode first season. Led by acclaimed film director DuVernay, who directed the first two episodes, all episodes in the series' debut season are directed by women.

When the subject is Shakespeare's bittersweet comedy TWELFTH NIGHT, the metaphors and analogies come easily to director Rebecca Taichman, who uses words like 'epic,' 'complex,' 'Mozartian' and 'perfect.'
