Following on from the success of merging live performance and live video capture, Kip Williams has given STRANGE CASE OF DR JEKYLL AND MR Hyde the same treatment with the addition of a second performer.  Gathering the same creative team that delivered the award-winning PICTURE OF DORIAN GREY, Williams and Sydney Theatre Company test whether the same formula can be used twice. 

The cast of Edinburgh Fringe show Classic! enjoyed a visit to The National Library of Scotland this week. The show sees the cast perform 42 classic novels in 60 minutes. The library holds many rare first editions of books that are featured in the show as well as handwritten letters by Jane Austen  and Robert Louis Stevenson. Check out photos here!

Idle Muse Theatre Company has announced the cast for its world premiere production of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, adapted by Idle Muse Company Member Michael Dalberg and directed by Morgan Manasa.

Terre Blair Hamlisch joined the cast of The Nutty Professor on stage Saturday, August 6 at Ogunquit Playhouse to pay tribute to her late husband, Marvin Hamlisch, on the 10th anniversary of his passing. The Nutty Professor was the last stage musical that Marvin Hamlisch completed before the composer died.

Derby Theatre and Queen's Theatre Hornchurch have announced the cast and creative team for their co-production of Jekyll and Hyde this autumn. Robert Louis Stevenson's iconic tale will be brought vividly to life through Neil Bartlett's brilliant and extraordinary adaptation, and through a stellar cast and creative team.

Sydney finally receives a fully staged professional production of JEKYLL AND HYDE THE MUSICAL, the musical theatre interpretation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous novella.  Under Hayden Tee’s direction the gothic exploration of the duality of human behavior is given a 20th century update with a significant change of setting from the Victorian England to a post WWII military hospital. 

The Autumn/Winter season runs from late August to February 2023 and is packed with leading theatre, music and comedy to suit all ages and tastes. The programme includes works from Cumbernauld Theatre Trust's autumn and winter in-house productions, visiting companies, new partnerships and cinema screenings. 

Production photos are now available for The Nutty Professor running through Saturday, August 6 at Ogunquit Playhouse, the jewel of the Maine Southern Seacoast. The musical adaptation of the beloved 1963 Jerry Lewis film comedy features the final score from Pulitzer Prize, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winner Marvin Hamlisch.

As part of their 50th Anniversary celebration, Cortland Repertory Theatre is presenting a variety of children’s shows during July. CRT welcomes to Cortland the Bright Star Touring Theatre, a national touring company based in Asheville, North Carolina.

The award-winning creative team behind Sydney Theatre Company's critically-acclaimed production The Picture of Dorian Gray will realise another gothic adaptation written by STC Artistic Director Kip Williams, this time Robert Louis Stevenson's classic Strange Case of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde, which premieres at Roslyn Packer Theatre this August.

National Sawdust and Paola Prestini and Chelsea Factory have announced the first companies to take the stage in the organizations’ programmatic partnership. Grammy-winning composer and pianist Arturo O’Farrilland his Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra with special guest Emeline Michel take over the landmarked site June 16-17.

Northern Kentucky University's School of the Arts has announced the productions slated for the 2022-2023 Theatre & Dance Season. Tickets for Fall productions will go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022. Spring productions will go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2023.

Hayes Theatre Co will present Jekyll & Hyde later this year. Directed by globally renowned performer Hayden Tee, and brought to life by a cast of 14 actors and actor/musicians, this epic struggle between good and evil will have its Australian professional premiere production at Hayes Theatre Co from 29 July with tickets on sale now.

As part of a nine-month national tour, Blackeyed Theatre brings The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde to Greenwich Theatre for its only London dates, from Tuesday 19 to Saturday 23 April. Originally due to open in September 2020, Nick Lane's thrilling adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's dark psychological fantasy was instead filmed and enjoyed by online audiences across the world.
