UP Comedy Club Announces Stand-Up and Sketch Comedy Schedule Updates for May - September 2013

Tickets are currently on sale for UP Comedy Club's roster of new shows including special one-time engagements including Jim Gaffigan book signing (May 10), The TOMKAT Project (June 20); stand-ups Dave Foley (September 5-7) and Tony Rock (September 19-22), and UP's special summer sketch show Summer In The Second City (June 21 - August 31). The Hollywood Networking Breakfast (HNB) was founded on the Paramount Studios Lot in 1993 by Sandra Lord, as a means to providing opportunities for industry professionals and emerging talent. Paramount Studios served as the event's home base for almost 12 years. Some of the most respected individuals, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes, have offered patrons insight and advice. Backstage named the HNB "The Best Networking Event in L.A." in its "Best of LA" issue, a title that has continued to hold true. For the last 19 years the event has hosted Academy, Golden Globe, Peabody and Emmy Award winners and nominees, as well as top Hollywood Studio Heads and Production Company Presidents. HNB benefits Changing Images in America (www.ChangingImagesInAmerica.org) and is proud to announce their next speaker will be Chris Bruss and others from Will Ferrell's company, "FUNNY OR DIE" speaking on their branded entertainment, television and film production divisions. THE HEIRESS to Recoup During Final Week of Performances

The producers of the new Broadway revival of THE HEIRESS have just announced that the production will recoup its $3 million capitalization during the final week of performances. The final performance is on Saturday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m. (note the new early curtain time) at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W. 48th St. NYC). THE HEIRESS will have played 27 previews and 117 regular performances. (more...)

THE HEIRESS Moves Final Performance to 2/9

The producers of the new Broadway revival of THE HEIRESS have announced that the production will now play its final performance on Saturday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. (note the new early curtain time). The previously scheduled Sunday, February 10 closing performance has been cancelled to enable Jessica Chastain, who plays the title character, to attend the BAFTA Awards (the British equivalent to the Academy Awards) where she is nominated for Best Actress on Sunday, February 10th in London. Ms. Chastain is nominated for an Academy Award and has already received Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards for her performance in the film Zero Dark Thirty. THE HEIRESS is currently playing at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W. 48th St. NYC). (more...)
