Grammy Award-winning singersongwriter Paula Cole is set for the release of her tenth full-length album, Revolution, September 13 via 675 Records. Produced by Chris Bruce (Seal, Meshell Ndegeocello, My Brightest Diamond) alongside Cole (a Grammy-nominated producer, herself), the album delves into the themes of gender identity, race and age that are once again so relevant in the current socialpolitical climate.

The festival seeks to bridge generations and music, to bring together an eclectic group of performers for an amazing weekend of music.

Composer Christopher James's upcoming album Grace from Persistence, his third as a solo artist, represents a synthesis of musical genres from jazz and pop to classical and film music, informed not only by his early experiences scoring for film and television, but also by his many years working with leading artists and on major soundtracks as an executive and producer for Universal Music Group. Mr. James's music takes inspiration from the visual and the dramatic, and two of the ten tracks on this recording (“Grace from Persistence” and “Mother Russia”) feature accompanying video.

Chamber-pop group Birdsong At Morning recently released their exquisite two-disc/Blu-ray package Signs and Wonders, a carefully crafted and richly textured work recorded in high-resolution surround sound to highlight the masterful audio quality of the music.  The album features a lush 20-piece string orchestra and many well-known Boston-area musicians.   Today, Elmore Magazine is premiering the title track “Signs and Wonders” to celebrate spring – watch it HERE.

Nat Freedberg to Release Solo Album, 'Better Late Than Never'

Sometimes with adversity comes a certain freedom. When Nat Freedberg, guitarist, singer and songwriter behind The Upper Crust, The Titanics and The Flies (among other stellar Boston bands) suffered nerve damage and surgery, he was despondent at first when confronting his guitar playing. As he recounts it, “It occurred to me that I'd never been a technical virtuoso to begin with, then I felt better straightaway.” The prospect of ending his decades-long career in music fueled the idea of recording a collection of his unreleased songs, albeit with no real strategy or a real band. Better Late Than Never comes out Friday, February 15th on Rum Bar Records.
