In this intense two-hander, when Ann joins Sophie’s running club, the pair strike up a friendship amid the endurance of training, despite their very different backgrounds. As Ann overtakes Sophie, issues of their bodies, identities and gender become open to public opinion. Relationships fracture, attitudes are challenged and futures are altered forever.
Miriam Battye Awarded The 2020 Pinter Commission

Playwright Miriam Battye received the 2020 Pinter Commission yesterday (Monday 25 October 2021) – an award given annually by Lady Antonia Fraser, Harold Pinter's widow, to support a new commission at the Royal Court Theatre. Initially scheduled in March last year, the awarding of the 2020 Pinter Commission had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Award-winning theatre company Son of Semele Ensemble is announcing its departure from their Silver Lake home of 18 years. Led by Founding Artistic Director Matthew McCray since 2000, the company has been in residence at 3301 Beverly Boulevard in a black box theatre they created in 2003.
