All Shook Up hits the DM Playhouse from Sept. 11-Oct. 4, 2009.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announced the complete schedule for the 2009 Festival, which will begin September 28th and continue through October 18th. A full breakdown of this year's performances and venues follows.

Ellie Greenwich was one of the most successful songwriters of the modern pop music era. She was one of the major influences on the 60?s rock and roll, a music that continues alive and well today. Her songs have sold in the tens of millions, and earned her 25 gold and platinum records.

IRIS RAINER DART, the award-winning best-selling author of Beaches and eight other novels and books, will be honored as the sole female, along with five male distinguished alumni of Allerdice High School as Inaugural Inductees into the school's new Hall of Fame.

In addition to the previously announced 27 full productions, The New York Musical Theatre Festival (Isaac Robert Hurwitz, Executive Director & Producer) today announced two dance productions, nine special events and concerts, and three developmental readings that will all take place during this year?s three-week festival.

A season ticket subscription is available that includes Smokey Joe's Café, Hamlet, Almost, Maine, Baby with the Bathwater, and Rent. Camelot: In Concert is available as a special add-on to the season subscription. Subscription prices for the five show season are: Weekdays and Matinees: $68 regular admission / $60 seniors. Friday and Saturdays: $80 regular admission/ $68 seniors. Camelot:In Concert reduced price tickets for season subscribers are Weekdays and Matinees: $18 regular admission/$16 seniors. Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director, Ken Novice, Interim Managing Director, Tom Ware, Producing Director) announced today that LAUGHING MATTERS, a world premiere musical featuring a book and lyrics by Iris Rainer Dart (author of the international best-selling novel 'Beaches'), music by Mike Stoller (Smokey Joe's Café) and Artie Butler (Feelin' Alright by Joe Cocker), and directed by Leonard Foglia (Broadway's Thurgood starring Laurence Fishburne), will be the final production of the 2009 Season entitled WOMEN: The Heart and Soul of Theatre.

Weddington Street Productions in association with Corky Hale Productions presents Leiber and Stoller's award winning musical Smokey Joe's Café with an all star cast and orchestra on the Mainstage of the historic El Portal in North Hollywood (NoHo). The show previews on Dec. 10,11,12 with a gala premiere opening on Saturday, December 13.
