Lin-Manuel Miranda and his father, Luis A. Miranda Jr., founding partner of The MirRam Group and founding president of the Hispanic Federation, are bringing their Puerto Rico relief efforts to Los Angeles! The father and son duo will participate in an intimate conversation regarding Puerto Rico's progress towards long-term recovery from the devastating impact of Hurricane Maria and Hamilton's upcoming limited run in Puerto Rico, it was announced today.

The Hispanic Federation, together with the Miranda Family, today announced the launch of a five-year initiative to revitalize Puerto Rico's coffee sector. The founding partners include Hispanic Federation, Nespresso, The Rockefeller Foundation, Starbucks, TechnoServe, and World Coffee Research, all of which are committed to supporting smallholder coffee farmers on the island.

People all over the country have been raising their voices against the family separation crisis, and Luis Miranda, Jr., father of Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel, is one of them. On Trump's immigration policy, he told Chris Cuomo: 'It's a way of showing Latin America, 'Don't come, you're not welcome, and there are horrible consequences if you come to our country- particularly if you come to get asylum with your kids.'

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has awarded multi-discipline creative artist Lin-Manuel Miranda the 18th Monte Cristo Award. An alumnus of the O'Neill, Miranda's first professional production was at the O'Neill's National Music Theater Conference with In The Heights in 2005. A gala dinner featuring a conversation with the honoree was held last night, Monday, April 30, 2018. Check out photos from the event below!

#EduHam is a series of HAMILTON Wednesday matinees made available to New York City schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families for the ticket price of only $10. This educational partnership, made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation, is not only providing 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see HAMILTON on Broadway, but provides educational material by Gilder Lehrman to incorporate material from the musical into the American History curriculum.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS announced today that it is awarding $400,000 in emergency grants to organizations working on-the-ground in Florida and Puerto Rico providing immediate support to communities devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria. These grants are in addition to $175,000 awarded in Texas after Hurricane Harvey.

When David Moscow made his 'Big'-screen debut in 1988, it was huge. Penny Marshall had plucked this precocious, 11-year-old kid from the Bronx to play the younger version of Tom Hanks' character, Josh Baskin. This comic fantasy-fable about a boy who literally became 'Big' overnight, was a giant box-office hit. Moscow was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actor in a Comedy. And in that same season, another kid won for Best Young Actor in a Drama: Christian Bale for 'Empire of the Sun.'
