In a triumphant return to lift South Florida voices and spirits in harmony this fall, the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men's Chorus (FTLGMC) will present “We Are Family (Dedicated to the memory of Jim Fahy),” on Saturday, September 18 at United Church of Christ. The inspirational and entertaining live evening will include selections from Bette Midler, Leonard Cohen and the smash Broadway show, Kinky Boots.

The legendary Hollywood Palomino Club will be resurrected during Americanafest week at The Basement East on the evening of September 21st. As in the tradition of the Palomino, there will be an updated version of the 'World Famous Palomino Talent Show.”

Jim Lauderdale, Hogslop String Band, Brittney Spencer, The Cleverlys, Donna the Buffalo, Peter Rowan, Los Texmaniacs, and Cordovas are slated to join Shinyribs for this momentous event.

Max Gomez has also announced new tour dates for 2021, including performances at The Red River Folk Festival in September, an annual 4-day event held in the resort mountain town of Red River, New Mexico which Gomez curates.

After nearly 15 months off the road, Lauderdale will tour in support of the album, starting with an eight-date tour run that includes a July 30 album release show at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville and an appearance at Merlefest in September.

He added guitar to his repertoire with a bit of help from his cousin, a gifted Chet Atkins style player, who taught him the Nashville number system of writing out chord charts.
