Following its hugely successful run in London's West End, the hit Beatles show LET IT BE will tour the UK and Ireland from 28 February 2014. The touring company, which includes members of the London cast, has been confirmed as Emanuele Angeletti, John Brosnan, Ben Cullingworth, James Fox, Michael Gagliano, Reuven Gershon, Stephen Hill and Luke Roberts. They will be joined on keyboard by Michael Bramwell, Steve Geere and Mike Lindup.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, The Fab Four hit Broadway tonight, July 24, in Let It Be, but the creators of RAIN, a Beatles tribute show that played on Broadway in 2011, have sued LET IT BE producers for copyright infringement. As a part of the lawsuit, the Rain Corpration seeks 50 percent of the show's revenue becuse LET IT BE uses many of the same songs and 'the artwork used as background during the performance of many of those songs are similar or identical.' Then, BroadwayWorld learned from an insider with the West End version of LET IT BE, that the London production is a separate entity and will not be affected by this lawsuit. That same source today sent BroadwayWorld the West End opening program for LET IT BE, which gives credit to RAIN. Scroll down for the program!

Now, BroadwayWorld has learned from an insider with the West End version of LET IT BE, that the London production is a separate entity and will not be affected by this lawsuit. They released the below statement:

West End's LET IT BE Recoups £1.6 Million Costs in 18 Weeks

The producers of LET IT BE today confirmed that the production has recouped at the box office the £1.6million the show cost to stage. The recoupment comes as the show finishes its 18 week run at the Prince of Wales Theatre and prepares to transfer to the Savoy Theatre from Friday 1 February 2013.
