LET IT BE Releases 250,000 More Tickets Ahead Of Re-Opening At Savoy

LET IT BE, the spectacular West End show celebrating the music of The Beatles, has released 250,000 new tickets ahead of its re-opening at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End on Friday 1 February 2013, following a hugely successful run at the Prince of Wales Theatre. West End's LET IT BE Recoups £1.6 Million Costs in 18 Weeks

The producers of LET IT BE today confirmed that the production has recouped at the box office the £1.6million the show cost to stage. The recoupment comes as the show finishes its 18 week run at the Prince of Wales Theatre and prepares to transfer to the Savoy Theatre from Friday 1 February 2013. (more...)

BREAKING: LEGALLY BLONDE To Close At Savoy, April 7

After almost 1000 West End manicures, perms and make-overs, Legally Blonde The Musical will have its final performance at the Savoy Theatre on Saturday 7 April 2012, when principal contracts end. The production now in its third year has transformed the Savoy Theatre into a pink haven for Elle and her sorority girlfriends. Legally Blonde The Musical opened in December 2009 to rave reviews and the show went on to win seven theatre awards including the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical. Legally Blonde The Musical continues its tour of the UK and plans are in place for an Australian production to open in Sydney later this year. (more...)

Fellowes, Stiles and Drewe to Write Musical of THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS

Today producer Jamie Hendry announced plans to stage a brand new musical theatre adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's classic novel The Wind in the Willows in London.
Julian Fellowes is writing the new book and reunites with composer and lyricist duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. The three first collaborated on Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's hit musical Mary Poppins which ran for three years in the West End and has been playing on Broadway since 2006.
