Built from steel, tin, oak, poplar, maple, lead and carbon fiber, the astounding instrument found in the Symphony's concert hall required three years and 42,000 hours of labor by a team of organ builders at C.B Fisk in Gloucester, Mass., before making its debut with Pacific Symphony in 2008.

MediaRites' Theatre Diaspora, presents the last play of the 2015 season The Sound of a Voice by noted playwright, David Henry Hwang (best known for M. The 51st Chicago International Film Festival, presented by Cinema/Chicago, will honor acclaimed composer and orchestrator Howard Shore in recognition of his contributions to film and television with a tribute and award ceremony on Sunday, October 18, 2015. Howard Shore is one of the most versatile, talented, and respected composers and music conductors working today. He has collaborated with such prominent directors as Martin Scorsese, Jonathan Demme, Tim Burton, David Fincher, Arnaud Desplechin, and David Cronenberg, among numerous others. Shore's work on Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy was recognized with three Academy Awards, two Golden Globes and many other honors.

Charged with momentum from the launch of BCMF Spring, the festival's first spring series of two concerts, the 32nd season of Long Island's longest-running classical music festival presents 11 concerts July 29 - August 23, 2015.

Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera gets its NY premiere as it kicks-off the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) this July. Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera has a concept, book and lyrics by Elizabeth Searle, music by Michael Teoli, and will be directed by David Alpert (If/ Then), with musical direction by Henry Aronson (Rock of Ages), and choreography by Marc Kimelman (A Bronx Tale). Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera will play at the PTC Performing Space (555 West 42nd St.) from tonight, July 9, through July 16, 2015.
