THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS Wins ACCA Award for Best Broadway Chorus

THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS will receive Actors' Equity Association's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA) Fifth Annual ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. The honor is the only industry accolade of its kind and honors the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical. Darius Campbell (formerly Danesh) will return to the smash hit musical CHICAGO when it re-opens at the Garrick Theatre on Monday 7 November to reprise his role as Billy Flynn opposite Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award-winner America Ferrera, who will be making her British stage debut as Roxie Hart.

On Wednesday, September 28th the League of Professional Theatre Women will kick-off the fifteen-month celebration of their 30th Anniversary with a special event, TURNING 30, in Duffy Square at 11am. Co-hosted by Sirius/XM Radio's Julie James & Off-Broadway's Christine Pedi, the event will feature appearances by Emmy Award-winning actress/comedian Judy Gold (The Judy Show) & the Mamma Mia! 'Dynamos,' Carol Linnea Johnson, Corinne Melançon & Stacia Fernandez. Also attending will be some of LPTW 30th Anniversary Leading Ladies: Ruby Dee, Eve Ensler, Rosemary Harris, LaChanze, Elizabeth McCann, Estelle Parsons, Chita Rivera & Fran Weissler. (more...)
