Outlandish launches its third season on Saturday, October 12 with America's favorite Nanny Fran Drescher, performing a show for the first time in Palm Springs. In a?oeSchmoozing With Fran Dreschera??, the legendary actress/comedian/activist shares, in her unique voice, both hilarious and poignant stories of her life. Produced by Logo TV Founder Matt Farber in partnership with the Palm Springs Cultural Center and benefiting the LGBT Community Center of the Desert (The Center), the Outlandish series will feature six iconic acts known in the LGBT and mainstream media for their cutting-edge wit and humor. I had the chance to chat with Ms. Drescher as she was preparing for her upcoming Palm Springs foray. Here are a few excerpts from that conversation.

Jane, couldnt be here tonight, but asked that I share her remarks 'We love the thought of being called Trail-Blazers. It makes us feel current and something out of Marvel Comics.'  Neither of us has a good sense of direction, so we thought being called trail-blazers implies that we somehow new where we were going. So thank you for thinking of us as trail-blazers, rather than as museum pieces.  Of course, there were times, Im afraid, we got lost on that trail and were more bewildered than blazing.  We are still blazing, but we have had to cool down a bit. After all, we need to take care not to add to global warming.'

Fran Drescher, star of the hit TV show The Nanny, has hinted that there may be a musical or play of the series in the works. While attending the Endometriosis Foundation of America's Blossom Ball, Drescher told CNN that she and the show's co-creator Peter Marc Jacobson were working a Nanny-related project and that it was 'very big.' She confirmed that the project was no a TV reboot but plead the fifth when asked if the project was a Broadway show, laughing and saying, 'I can't say.'

Hailed as “comic gold” (Newsday), the critically acclaimed series “Broad City” delighted fans over five uproarious seasons.  Now, the fifth and final season arrives on DVD, along with a new Complete Series collection.

The award-winning, autobiographical comedy MY LIFE ON A DIET, starring Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning writer and actress Renee Taylor ("The Nanny"), is now on tour. The current stop is at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (9390 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90210), where the show opened this weekend, and will perform a limited engagement through Sunday, April 14.
