Golf Channel Announces Teams for 2018 East Lake Cup Collegiate Match Play Championship

Today, Golf Channel announced the field for the 2018 East Lake Cup collegiate match play championship at historic East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Oct. 29-31. This elite field of the country's top collegiate golf programs each earned an invitation by advancing to the semifinals of team match play at the 2018 NCAA Men's and Women's Golf Championships in May.

History Matters/Back To The Future Announces Winners Of Inaugural Sallie Bingham Grant

History Matters/Back to the Future has announced the recipients of its inaugural Sallie Bingham Grant, a monetary award granted to support a faculty-mentored student-directed reading series or full production of a play or plays by a historic female playwright. Four (4) $2,000 grants will be awarded, with an additional $500 stipend for the faculty advisor of each project. 

JEFFREY GIBSON: THIS IS THE DAY Opens September 8 at the Wellin Museum of Art

The Wellin Museum of Art at Hamilton College will present Jeffrey Gibson: This Is the Day from September 8 through December 9, 2018, featuring over 50 works of sculpture, painting, installation, and video made between 2014 and 2018, a number of which were made expressly for this exhibition. As part of the exhibition, the Wellin will debut a new film that the Museum commissioned from Gibson. Other new works in the exhibition include a group of five elaborately adorned helmets that will be presented to the public for the first time at the Wellin, alongside a series of seven large-scale sculptural garments, draped on tipi poles, which will hang from the gallery ceiling. The exhibition is curated by Tracy L. Adler, Johnson-Pote Director of the Wellin Museum of Art, and will travel to the Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin in 2019, facilitated by Veronica Roberts, the Blanton's Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art.

On August 8th, 2014, THE IMBIBLE: A SPIRITED HISTORY OF DRINKING opened at the New York International Fringe Festival for what was supposed to be a five-performance run. Following sold-out FringeNYC and Fringe Encore engagements, a front-page feature in the Arts section of The New York Times, and three hit sequels, the show moved to an open run at New World Stages.

KYO-SHIN-AN ARTS Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary

KYO-SHIN-AN ARTS  is a contemporary music organization celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season. From groundbreaking to mainstream, over the last decade KSA has built and promoted a wide body of new classical repertoire combining Japanese and Western instruments.  Commissions to date total 27 composers for 45 new works. 2018-19 continues KSA's annual five-concert series at the Tenri Cultural Institute in Manhattan and marks the launch of its next decade with a distinctive, two-year 'Septet Commissioning Project.'

FOX Announces THE MASKED SINGER, A Celebrity Competition Series With A Groundbreaking Twist

FOX has ordered the new celebrity competition series THE MASKED SINGER, to premiere in January 2019. Based on an international hit, which already is a viral phenomenon with more than half a billion fans worldwide, and the No. 1 top-trending video of 2017 on YouTube, THE MASKED SINGER features celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, complete with full face mask to conceal his or her identity. Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke serve on the panel and play detective, alongside host Nick Cannon.

Lookingglass Theatre Company Announces The Second Extension Of 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEAS

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces an extension of 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas adapted by David Kersnar and Althos Low, from the books by Jules Verne, directed by Ensemble Member David Kersnar. Due to high ticket demand, additional dates, August 30 - September 9, 2018, have been added. 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas plays at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. This marks the second and final extension of the production.

Princess Grace Foundation USA Announces 2018 Princess Grace Award Winners In Theater, Dance & Film

The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) has announced the winners of the 2018 Princess Grace Awards. The Awards will be presented at the annual Princess Grace Awards Gala and continue the legacy of Princess Grace (Kelly) of Monaco, who helped emerging artists pursue their artistic goals during Her lifetime. In total, the Foundation is awarding over $1 million to artists in theater, dance, and film. In the presence of Her Serene Highness The Princess of Monaco, this year's Gala will be held at Cipriani 25 Broadway on October 16, 2018. The evening will be co-chaired by Dennis and Phyllis Washington and Anne Sweeney and Phillip Miller.

Mississippi Museum Of Art Announces New Exhibition 'Jeffrey Gibson: Like A Hammer'

The Mississippi Museum of Art (the Museum) announces that it will present Jeffrey Gibson: Like A Hammer, the first major survey of work by contemporary artist Jeffrey Gibson (b. 1972), from September 8, 2018 through January 27, 2019, in its Gertrude C. Ford Galleries for the Permanent Collection. Organized by and currently on view at the Denver Art Museum (DAM), Like A Hammer showcases Gibson's acclaimed multi-disciplinary work from 2011 to the present. The exhibition is being presented with generous support from the Selby and Richard McRae Foundation.

American Dance Festival Enters Final Week with Kyle Abraham's A.I.M and More

The American Dance Festival's (ADF) final week of the 2018 season features the return of Kyle Abraham's A.I.M in the evening-length work Dearest Home July 17-19. The ADF performance series and ADF's Summer Dance Intensive merge in the exciting Footprints program presenting three ADF-commissioned dances by Dafi Altabeb, Jillian Peña, and Abby Zbikowski July 20-21.

2018 ADF Announces Lineup for Week #4

The American Dance Festival (ADF) kicks off week #4 with the return of Tere O'Connor Dance performing the ADF-commissioned Long Run. The North Carolina Museum of Art once again partners with ADF to present Dana Ruttenberg Dance Group's witty, interactive Naba 2.0. The Carolina Theater stage will be the scene of five spectacular solos by Michelle Dorrance, Rhapsody James, Yabin Wang, Aparna Ramaswamy, and Camille A. Brown in the Wondrous Women program. The talented ADF faculty will present work at Reynolds Industries Theater. ADF's Movies by Movers continues its summer screenings, and ADF School Tours offer a glimpse into the world of dancers-in-training.
