John Kander and Fred Ebb's 1981 Tony nominated musical Woman of the Year will come back to New York City for a one-night-only concert at Feinstein's/54 Below tonight, November 29th, 2017, at 7:00pm and 9:30pm, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative.

Abingdon Theatre Company announces the initial lineup for its 25th Anniversary Season. With a list of celebrated and promising new artists, Abingdon Theatre Company's 2017 - 2018 season features premiere productions on the main stage, a one-night-only gala event honoring and featuring legendary artists, and ongoing initiatives fostering the work of emerging theater-makers.

I love to go to press junkets to bring fun moments to everyone that listens to this podcast. It really is my attempt to bring you along with me. On this trip out, I went to the press call for upcoming 25th Anniversary Gala for the Abingdon Theatre Company. They are doing a special presentation of Kander and Ebb's AND THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, as well as honoring 2x Emmy and Tony Award Winning actress, Bebe Neuwirth.

Abingdon Theatre Company has a star-studded gala in the works featuring a musical revue with some of Broadway's best and brightest. BroadwayWorld recently went into the rehearsal room, check out the photos below!

Princess Cruises celebrated the New York premiere of 'Born to Dance,' the latest offering from its first-of-its-kind partnership with Stephen Schwartz, Oscar, Grammy and Tony Award-winning composer of 'Wicked,' 'Godspell,' and 'Pippin.' Honoring two-time Tony and Emmy Award winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, Sweet Charity, 'Cheers,' 'Frasier'), the event will feature a special concert performance of the John Kander and Fred Ebb musical revue And The World Goes 'Round.

On Thursday, Abingdon Theatre Company celebrated the opening night of THE MOTHER OF INVENTION, a new play written by James Lecesne about how one family deals with the effects of Alzheimer's. Directed by Tony Speciale, the company includes Concetta Tomei, James Davis, Dan Domingues, Angela Reed, Isabella Russo and Dale Soules, with performances set to run through February 26. Broadway veterans are stepping into roles inspired by the lives of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, and the movement style that they developed in a choreographic presentation of part of a new musical at New York Theater Barn's Choreography Lab.

Abingdon Theatre Company recently celebrated the opening night of STET, a new play which has extended its Off-Broadway performances through July 10. Written by Kim Davies and developed by Kim Davies, Jocelyn Kuritsky and Tony Speciale, STET is produced in association with The Muse Project.  Artistic Director Tony Speciale directs the world-premiere drama inspired by the Rolling Stone article 'A Rape on Campus.'

Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with exciting new programming and expanded international destinations, including Russia and Brazil. The 2016 Summer Tour, GENERAT10N, will visit cities across the U.S. and Canada when it kicks off in Atlanta, GA on May 31, 2016. In each location, the premier non-profit performing arts training program will present an incredible roster of Broadway directors, performers, and industry insiders who will offer highly personalized musical theatre training and mentoring through unique, week-long performing arts intensive workshops for students of all ages, skill levels, and socio- economic backgrounds.

AMERICAN SHOWSTOPPERS, featuring Fred Barton & His Orchestra in 'An Evening with Cole Porter', stars a cast of today's best Broadway performers. The concerts take place at Pace University's Schimmel Center in New York tonight, March 4 at 7:30 PM and then Kingsborough Community College's 'On Stage at Kingsborough' in Brooklyn tomorrow, March 5 at 8:00 PM.

Broadway stars Lisa Howard (It Shoulda Been You) and John Bolton (A Christmas Story: The Musical) are joining the cast of AMERICAN SHOWSTOPPERS featuring Fred Barton & His Orchestra in 'An Evening with Cole Porter' next month.

AMERICAN SHOWSTOPPERS - featuring Fred Barton & His Orchestra and starring a cast of today's best Broadway performers - will present "An Evening with Cole Porter" at Pace University's Schimmel Center in New York on Friday, March 4 at 7:30 PM and then Kingsborough Community College's Goldstein Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, March 5 at 8:00 PM.  The cast of outstanding Broadway performers includes Beth Leavel (Tony Award winner for The Drowsy Chaperone), Sean McGibbon, Paula Leggett Chase, Damon Kirsche, Karen Murphy and Jesse Luttrell in addition to the Scott Thompson Dancers. The show is produced, orchestrated, conducted and hosted by Fred Barton with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson.
