The Gallery Players will present Master Class by Terrence McNally beginning March 16th. Carolyn Mignini* stars as legendary opera singer, Maria Callas. Ms. Mignini's Broadway and Off-Broadway appearances include Guys and Dolls, Fiddler On The Roof , Tintypes, The Fantasticks and Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All/The Actor's Nightmare. The Broadway Dreams Foundation held its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala last night at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10. At this one of a kind urban winter wonderland in of the heart of midtown Manhattan, Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts joined together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. Tritone Productions presents Steven Blanchard and Veanne Cox in a staged presentation of the new musical comedy, Jonathan Brielle's 40 Naked Women, A Monkey and Me directed by Michael Bush with book, music & lyrics by Jonathan Brielle; musical direction by Steven Ray Watkins and choreography by Kelli Barclay. The cast also includes Leanne Borghesi, Deidre Goodwin Brittney Lee Hamilton, John Herrera and Marcy McGuigan. The presentations take place today, October 18 at 3 pm and Friday, October 19 at 2pm at S.I.R. Studios, 520 West 25th Street. (more...)

Philadelphia's Broadway dreams came true for the fourth consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partnered with The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their Summer Performing Arts Intensive, July 30 through August 5, 2012. Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award-winner for Parade, and a faculty of Broadway professionals taught master classes during the week to aspiring Philadelphia area students interested in pursuing a career in musical theatre. Philadelphia's Broadway dreams will come true for the fourth consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partners with The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their Summer Performing Arts Intensive July 30 through August 5, 2012. Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award winner for Parade, and a faculty of Broadway professionals will teach master classes during the week to aspiring Philadelphia area students interested in pursuing a career in musical theatre. A week's end, the Broadway faculty will perform alongside BDF students in "Express Yourself," a unique concert event directed by acclaimed New York director Matt Lenz (Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast) at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts' Perelman Theater on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 3 pm and 8 pm. Tomorrow also marks the first performance of SILENCE! The Musical at its new home, the brand new Elektra Theatre in Times Square. Ronica V. Reddick joins the cast of Off-Broadway's smash hit SILENCE! The Musical tonight, June 1st, replacing Deidre Goodwin in the role of Ardelia Mapp. Winner of the 2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, SILENCE! is the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, and is currently playing to sold out crowds at The 9th Space Theatre at Performance Space 122, 150 First Avenue (at 9th St.) As previously announced, Tony Award winner Shuler Hensley will take over as Dr. Hannibal Lecter June 1 - 24.
