The Road Theatre Company and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director, together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, present the second show of its 2017-2018 season, the west coast premiere of A DELICATE SHIP, written by acclaimed playwright Anna Ziegler (Actually) and directed by Andre Barron (Edward Albee's The Play About the Baby).

The Actors Fund, the national human services agency that helps everyone in performing arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition, announced today that it has received a 'Supporting Our Communities' grant from First Foundation, Inc. which includes both a cash grant of $5,000 and pro bono consulting to help The Fund's Western Council build its fundraising capacity. In addition, First Foundation, Inc. has generously sponsored three years of EVERFI's digital financial literacy training for members of The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead program, which provides programming tailored to meet the special needs of young professional performers aged 9 to 18 in Southern California. On the heels of a thrilling performance by Phantom star DAVIS GAINES, the 2017 Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Broadway Concert Series at Rubicon Theatre Company continues with a concert starring Emmy Award-winner and multiple-Tony nominee NANCY DUSSAULT in MY LIFE…UPON THE WICKED STAGE. Perhaps best known to audiences as the first host of "Good Morning America," and for her co-starring role on TV on "Too Close for Comfort," Dussault's remarkable career began on the stage. Her concert includes anecdotes about Dussault's remarkable career and songs by many of her favorite composers, such as Richard Rodgers, Jule Styne, Burton Lane and Stephen Sondheim. Dussault's extraordinary musicality and comedic storytelling infuse new meaning into beloved classics such as "Getting Married Today," "Look to the Rainbow," "Old Friend" and her iconic "Make Someone Happy." Nancy is joined by Musical Director Christopher Marlowe and Director Valentine Mayer. NANCY DUSSAULT: MY LIFE…UPON THE WICKED STAGE comes to Ventura for three-performances-only: Saturday, May 20 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m.

With the world on the brink of war, the judgment of an untested president is called into question. What kind of intellectual and emotional stamina does it take to make the right decision?

L.A. Theatre Works' latest world premiere THE TUG OF WAR will begin May 25, 2017 at UCLA's James Bridges Theater. LATW commissioned prolific writer/producer David Rambo to create this piece on President John F. Kennedy's tough, thankless position dealing with Russian and Cuban relations in 1992. David took some time from teaching at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts (during his hiatus from Will) to answer a few of our curious inquiries.

Coyote StageWorks, the Coachella Valley- based award-winning Actors' Equity professional theater company continues it 2016-2017 theatrical season with a production of 'Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks,' a popular two-character comedy/drama that will feature Loretta Swit and David Engel. The production will run from February 3 through 12, 2017 with eight performances at the Annenberg Theater in the Palm Springs Art Museum.The fully staged play will star Loretta Swit (best known for her role of Major Margaret 'Hot Lips' Houlihan on the beloved television show 'M*A*S*H') and actor and Coyote StageWorks Founding Board and Company Member David Engel.
